Well, any linux would do but thats what most people use. ffmpeg is a command line tool for converting between different media formats. You would have to do some extra steps to make 3gp conversion work with it.

Drupal 5 is coming soon, probably in a month. Version 5 has been freezed adding of new features a month back. Hopefully this would provide a lot of new features, with more AJAX and easy of use. I hope it has a better system for blocking out comment spam. I would like to have the ability of creating new tags right when you are writing the post like in wordpress.

Sadly these guys dont provide a package for release candidates instead you would have to use cvs for retrieving the source files. I hope this is bug free. When i first started using version 4.6 some of the modules were really buggy.
This used to be the site http://whois.sc and was very useful for getting information about ip’s whenever i would see an ip of interest i would go to the site and put it there. However now the site has changed it requires some what. It requires registration now and is not telling the isp details of the ips. Turned in to more of a commercial site charging for there services.
Command line tools are very useful especially when giving commands on a remote computer using ssh. When on commanding remote computer means you most probably have some files to transfer. Command line ftp can be very useful but dont you think it is a little too. Well there is something call ncftp which is easy to use and powerful. I wanted to copy my whole website structure from another host but I could not figure out how to do that using the normal ftp command line tool so i found out about this and it worked great. I have used it on my desktop machine aswell because i think gui ftp clients are very unreliable.
